Mr. McCain, a former prisoner of war, has consistently voiced opposition to waterboarding and other methods that critics say is a form torture. But the Republicans, confident of a White House veto, did not mount the challenge. Mr. McCain voted "no" on Wednesday afternoon.

It's my birthday today and I have to say that 23rd year of my life was great. I got married to a wonderful woman, had great success at school and research, and I was generally happy with that way everything in my life is. I have a feeling a that the 24 might be even better. We will see...

Few weeks back I was watching, as almost every night, The Daily Show and saw this picture.
It say that senior peacetime correspondent is in Oslo, but he's not. The city in the background is not Oslo, but Prague, Czech Republic. I guess they didn't have any nice shot of Oslo and I'm sure the creators of the show took also into account poor geographical knowledge of average American viewer :)Over a million iPhones have been sold. No and never will. I just think it's an overpriced piece of
hardware. Plus, it requires iTunes so as a Linux user, even if I wanted
to buy it, I can't.
In a week and a half I'm going to Salt Lake City for AICHE conference to give two presentations. I have never been there but I'm sure it's going to be a nice change from Southeast Texas weather. Please let me know what's good to see in Salt lake city. I have most of Friday empty so I would like to see some good places.
